The charging station can lock the charging cable so that it cannot be removed.
This happens automatically during charging, but the cable can also be locked with the Zaptec Portal or App. To perform this action you must have owner permission of the charging station.
When this is done, the cable can not be removed until it has been unlocked by the owner of the charging station.
- It stays locked if the power goes off
- When power is restored, it briefly unlocks the cable, then locks it again
How to lock cable in Zaptec App
1. Stand next to charger with bluetooth activated.
2. Log in to your account.
3. Go to My Chargers and find your charger.
4. Press the Lock cable so it turns green - you will hear a sound in the charger.
If you wish to unlock the cable, simply press the toggle so it turns grey. If this does not work - restart the charger and try again.

How to lock cable in Zaptec Portal
1. Log in and find your charger under the Chargers tab
2. Go to Settings and click the lock cable to charging station and save
If you wish to unlock the cable, simply uncheck the box so it turns grey. If this does not work - restart the charger and try again.
