A payment service is when invoicing and payment for charging is performed by a paid service that has a collaboration with Zaptec charging system.
User handling, payment reports and invoicing are done in teams with the facility owner (administrator) or by the payment service.

What does invoicing have to do with Zaptec´s charging solution?
If it has been decided that the users will pay for their own charging consumption, then it will be necessary to get a comprehensive overview of each user's charging history.
This is done in a very simple way in the administration tool Zaptec Portal, by exporting the charger report directly from their charging system.
How do I bill users for charging consumption?
In order to be able to invoice for a charging consumption, it is important to have an invoice basis that ensures a fair and secure distribution of costs.
The charging report from Zaptec Portal provides an accurate overview of the charging consumption over a desired period of time.
Here it is possible to customize the charger report:
- User profile
- Charging chip / Charging card
This will be the invoice basis for charging consumption.
Before it is possible to invoice, an agreement must have been entered into between the users and regarding pricing and the routines around invoicing. This will be up to the board / company management to put in place.
At present it is not possible to invoice a user directly from Zaptec Portal.
It is possible to let a treasurer on the board take care of this or put the job to a business manager.
ZAPTEC does not provide guidelines for the procedure,
nor does it state any price for charging in Zaptec portal.
I want to avoid billing my users, what can I do?
There are several different ways to handle charging consumption in their Zaptec charging system.

What do we get by choosing a payment service?
A payment service arranges everything around invoicing the power consumption of each registered user.
This helps a housing company to ensure a fair and safe distribution of costs regarding charging electric cars and hybrid cars.
Several payment services also give housing companies and / or companies the opportunity to specify a price for charging, price models and based on user segment (resident, guest, employee, etc.)
Some payment services may also offer an operation and support agreement, where the payment service handles inquiries regarding customer support and operating situations on behalf of the plant owner (administrator).
How do I know what each user will pay for their charging consumption?
In order to find out what each individual user has to pay for their consumption, the following must be clarified:
- Pricing for charging
- Time interval for invoicing
- Activation of authentication (user control)
It is recommended that the board and / or company management communicate an agreement in advance and preferably before starting charging, as it will be reassuring for users to be aware that charging with Zaptec provides the opportunities for a safe and fair distribution of charging consumption.
I have users who do not pay, what do I do?
If one / more users do not settle for themselves, and you handle the invoicing internally, it will be an opportunity to connect a business manager and ask for assistance with follow-up of payments or you can look more closely at whether a payment solution can be something for you.

We have chosen an external payment solution, where can users see their charging consumption?
If you have and use a payment service, the individual user will regularly receive a charging report and / or a receipt for completed charging consumption.
It is also common for users of the charging stations to retrieve receipts via "My page" in the online solution and / or via the Phone App for the current payment service.
